They Say...

Is it super? Is it something? The Super Something is ready for anything, an incredibly versatile platform here to handle all of your variable road and terrain needs. This bike will be really fun in a variety of setup and is designed to grow and change along with your riding style.

Through designing hundreds of custom bikes, Adam found that there is no tool for a specific job like a truly custom built scalpel of a bicycle. Many of those one-offs ended up in Adam’s hands to try out new geometries, parts and ideas. Those bikes were fun, but they came and went. The bikes that stuck around seemed to be the generally built, all purpose bikes. Ones that could be fun season after season, or reimagined with a new handlebar, tires, or some new setup when it started to feel stale. The Super Something is a bike you will want to keep around forever. Adaptable for anything or something.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

Keep it simple. In our eyes, every “Gravel Bike” falls somewhere on the spectrum between a fat tired road bike on one side and a mountain bike on the other. The Super Something is about 40% of the way along that spectrum. Not going for full-on new school MTB geometry - because there is something really fun about riding a road bike where you aren’t supposed to - but also not turning a blind eye to the developments we have made on bicycle geometry in the past few years. Generally, these bikes have a slightly longer reach. They are made in mind to be ridden with a 50-90mm stem for optimal handling. They are designed with 700x42c tires in mind, but will clear larger or smaller depending on where you want to ride or what you want to try. Trends come and go, but this frame is set up to stick around for a long time and handle those standards you will always fall back on.

FIT GUIDE

The Super something is designed with versatility in mind. That said, the “base setting” for this bike is a 700x42c gravel bike with a 70mm Anna Lee stem and drop bar. Each size was designed for a range of saddle heights with the 70mm stem setup falling right in the middle of the range. As a rule of thumb, these bike are designed to fit like the labeled size. If you normally ride a 54 you should probably get a 54, if you normally ride a 60 you should probably get a 60 and so on. Some riders might prefer to size down and run a longer stem/more seat post for a more aggressive roadie fit, while others might opt to go up with an even shorter stem for that french fit and more stable handling. For a riser/flat bar setup I would recommend planning around a longer stem (90-110mm) or even sizing up if you know you never want to run drops. Shoot me an email if you have any questions, I am happy to make recommendations. Here are the saddle heights I had in mind, measured from the BB center to the top of the saddle center.

48CM - 640mm to 680mm 56CM - 720mm to 760mm
52CM - 660mm to 700mm 58CM - 750mm to 790mm
54CM - 690mm to 740mm 60CM - 780mm to 820mm

These numbers are just rough suggestions. Please double check and ask us or your bike fitter if you have any questions or concerns.
