Curve bikes visit the Woods
The passion for bikes and riding was seeping from every crevice of our little old bike shop last weekend.
Rhino, Gus and Jimmy of Curve bicycles dropped by on their way to Bespoked in Manchester, Gus and Rhino have made the trip into a bike tour of the U.K with Jimmy in toe with a van full of demo bikes.
Apparently Rhino makes a point of riding to visit dealers all across Europe, he started the trend when he was back in Aus. the mans a machine that clearly lives to pedal a bicycle.
As soon as we met we just clicked, you tend to meet a lot of people in the bike industry that just seem over it, if that ever happens to us, Im quitting, thats it. The Curve boys share our excitement for bikes, exploring, adventure and are so fun to ride with!
On friday we took them for a rip around the woods and ended in a pub for food and a couple of beers.
On Saturday Rhino, Gus and Jimmy hung out at the shop with the fleet of bikes soaking up the mad Saturday vibes chatting to people about the bikes and getting to know a few of our customers.
After a night out in the woods I pedalled back to the shop to lead out the Curve Sunday ride, a 45 mile route taking in all my favourite bits of the New Forest.
Scott swung his leg over a Curve Kev Ti for the ride, he wouldn't shut up about how good it felt, and was riding as quick as always trying to keep up with Rhino.
Gus is a bike nomad, his job at the moment is to scope out routes in far flung destinations for Curves expeditions. He's a great photographer and spent the weekend documenting their trip to see us.
The pace of the ride was pretty spicey compared to our normal chilled sunday cruise's, it felt really good to stretch the legs and cover ground quickly.
Sunday's ride ended at the 'New Forest Inn' for pies and pints before rolling back to the shop.
We are so incredibly stoked to be working with Curve bikes, their passion and knowledge is infectious. You can tell that every detail of every product they produce has been thought about while spending hours in the saddle.
