Firepot shop ride
Dec 07, 2023
We came across Firepot food round the campfire one night and loved it, they are a local company to us, based in Purbeck!
We aim to be-able to source everything you would need for a bike tour, so it made sense to offer a quality camping food!
Jim at Firepot was dead keen to get involved with one of our shop rides and bring along a load of food to taste, we had a great turn out of almost 30 people on a rainy December day and that ain’t bad!
We have a load of Firepot in stock now ready for your winter excursions, for me, taking a stove and some coffee or food to cook outside makes those winter rides all the more appealing. And if you are camping out, a warm hassle free meal is so important, you just pour hot water into the packet, wait 15 mins and eat! so no washing up!
As usual, there was a selection off beautiful and interesting bikes.
The route was a chill 21 miler, using all hardpack New Forest gravel, which, despite the weather, stays nice and solid all year round.
Thanks Robbie for organising and leading the ride!
The cafe feels extra cosy at this time of year, it feels like just where you want to be after a grim, wet ride.
