WE ARE BRINGING RIVENDELL BIKES TO THE U.K!

We’ve always loved Rivendell as a brand and hoped that one day we can bring them to these shores! Well this year it’s happening!

As you can see from the gallery, many of our customers are also fans.

Grant was the designer for the now legendary ‘Bridgestone bikes’ from 1984 to 1994, later starting his own brand ‘Rivendell’

Rivendell survived through the 90’s when most other bike brands were pushing people to buy a version of a professional race bike.

At the time, the ‘all terrain bike’, ‘all road bike’, ‘bike for fun’ were all very niche, as weird as it sounds now.

Rivendell collected a cult following for doing things differently and prioritising fun, comfort and experience. Many other brands have now followed suit.

For me, Riv capture the spirit of the early days of mountain biking better than any other bike maker, when it was considered a counter culture, adventurous, and wild!

Below is a bit about the First Model we’ll be bringing in.

The Rivendell Appaloosa (due April, the Orange and blue ‘mermaid’ bikes in the last 2 pictures.)

The Appaloosa is the quintessential Riv, its a mid weight, go anywhere, do anything Frameset.

Smalls fit, 650b wheels, mediums and up fit with 700/29er.

Clearance for 2.3 tyres, so our fav’s Ultradynamico MARS and Rene Herse Umtanum Ridge will fit!

Grant, as usual puts it well

‘I (Grant) used to say this was my favorite bike of all time, but right now it’s tied with a few others–the new Atlantis being the most obvious. I don’t think a better-riding bike is possible. I know I can’t design one‘
