Brother In The Wild 2023
No storms, no cows giving birth, no snaps knees, all things considered, this year went really smooth.
It was maybe the best weather we’ve ever seen for the event, a moody Friday evening with a vale of mist set the scene but Saturday we awoke to beaming sunshine and dry ‘Ish’ trails.
We set up our stall with Rab Equipment who we work with and who help support the event, stoked with their clothing, and it seems you lot were too!
Friday there were some films shown on the big screen in the barn, including our ‘Dartmoor trip’
We rode most of the Woods WTF route on Saturday, it was a dreamy day of swims, beers and single track. The Trails had been cut back recently and were running as good as I’ve seen! Were Will and James out there the week before with their garden shears or a machete? we’d like to think so.
A few brave souls rode the new Woods YTF route, I had several people come up to me and ask, ‘Are you Tom?’ and proceed to tell me off for creating such a horrible route, admitadly the stinging nettles are in full bloom, and on the YTF, Will and James had certainly not been out trimming the hedges.
It was such a great year, we had so much fun chatting to you all, listening to the fireside talks, eating great food and drinking great beer.
We thank all of you for coming and all involved in making the event happen!
