We're Hiring! E-Comm Fulfilment/Customer Service Role

We are looking for someone to join The Woods team, specifically in the growing e-commerce side of our business. We welcome applications from all interested individuals, and the person we are looking for will be responsible for:

  • Picking, packing and posting out our domestic and international online orders
  • Facilitating customer refunds, returns, exchanges and replacement orders
  • Placing orders with our suppliers as required by e-commerce sales
  • Creating and fulfilling internal stock transfers
  • Managing the e-commerce inbox and responding to customer queries
  • Checking customer details prior to shipment and contacting customers for updated address and contact details as required.
  • Booking deliveries to customers using our online courier portals
  • Chasing couriers for updates for shipments that have not arrived in a timely manner and keeping clients up to date with their order progress
  • Lodging claims with our couriers in the event of missing or damaged deliveries
  • Maintaining our stock of packaging materials

The right person will need to have:

  • A genuine interest in gravel riding, the brands we stock and The Woods Cyclery ethos.
  • An eye for detail. Bike components and accessories can come in multiple variants - having an eye for detail will help minimise picking errors.
  • Passion for customer service. We want our online customers to recieve the same great service they can expect in store. There will also be an expectation to assist the front of house sales team when required.
  • Ability to manage own workload. You will need to be self-sufficient and able to handle multiple deadlines.

And the 'nice to haves':

It would be super nice if you also had relevant back office experience, but don't worry if you don't, as full training would be provided by Dan and the team:

  • Experience with Shopify and Lightspeed Retail R POS systems
  • Experience with online courier portals (Royal Mail, Parcelforce, etc)

This is a full-time in-store role, with some weekend work required.
Salary is £26,500 - £28,500 depending on experience.
